Charles Smith provided a space filled to capacity with an interactive, provocative and highly engaged session on understanding and exploring the importance of being a global ambassador. - Team Representative and later the First, First VP of the National Basketball Players Association (NBPA). 1992
- One of the founders of the National Basketball Players Association Foundation (NBPA). 1992
- Made history as an inventor becoming the first to develop patents for customizable applications for video ingestion. 1998
- Executive Director, National Basketball Retired Players Association (NBRPA), where he led the restructuring of the organization. 2008-2010
- Taught entrepreneurship courses at the New York City Learning Annex 2002
- Founder and CEO of Pro Basketball Alumni Global Exhibition games featuring over forty retired NBA players. Games were organized and played throughout Asia and South America. 2010-2014
- Founder and logo creator of the NBRPA's non-profit, Legends Care.

- Created patented computerized approaches to how sports teams and leagues capture and retain customizable data
- Completed successful milestones that helped the retired player association grow from a budget from $750,000 per year to $1.5 million per year.
- Added the WNBA retiree’s to the association
- Influenced current NBA players to pay and join the association
- Researched and delivered a $1M marketing contract from Goodyear tires in China
- Closed an annual $60,000 nation wide contract for retired players to attend NBA games.
- Created the World Sports Conference during All-Star weekend
- Built a profitable international business with athletes, entrepreneurs and family offices in the following countries: China, Taiwan, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Macau, Indonesia, Philippines, Argentina, Bahamas, UAE, Tanzania, Cape Verde, Bermuda, Cayman Islands, Aruba, Colombia and South Korea.
